Copy a banner

Note

If a campaign uses viewable impressions as the impression count method, only banners added via templates (with the [context] tag) can be copied to the campaign. The account administrator or assistant can check whether the template contains this tag in the template parameters.

To copy a banner:

  1. Click  → Copy next to the banner in the list of banners or on the banner page next to its name.

  2. In the window that opens, select the copy options:

    • Copy completely / Copy parameters only: Select the Copy completely option to copy the parameters, placement, and targeting. Copy parameters only means that the copy will be created without placement and targeting — they will be inherited from the campaign.

    • Preserve marking settings: Select this option to copy the configured labeling parameters, including the third-party token, ad label, banner menu, and creative media data.

Data transfer to the Russian state register (ERIR) is disabled for the newly created copy. To start transfering this data, select Marking procedure → Submit data to state register in the parameters of the newly created banner after copying is complete.

      Warning

If data transfer to the Russian state register (ERIR) was enabled for the copied banner and the creative obtained a token from the Yandex Advertising Data Operator, a new token will be assigned to the creative when copying the labeling settings.

    • Number of copies: Specify how many copies you need. You can create up to ten copies of a single banner.

  3. Choose which campaign to copy the banner to. By default, it's copied to the current campaign.

  4. Check the settings and click Continue.

Once you start the copying process, you'll see the progress status at the top of the page:

  • Blue: In progress.
  • Green: Completed successfully.
  • Red or yellow: Errors.

Alert

If an error occurs during the copying process, no copies are created.

The selected banner will be copied to the ad campaign. To add banners from another campaign, repeat the process.

The start date for the newly created banner matches the copying date. Statistics aren't copied.

If a banner has an end date, its copies will have the same running period as the copied banner. For example, if you copy a banner that was launched for a period of seven days, the end date of the new banner is set to seven days after the copying date.
